Tongxiang Yihong Spun Silk Spinning Co.,Ltd. is a middle-sized enterprise specialized in manufacturing silk fabric and tops. The place where the company is located enjoys great convenience in transportation with State 320 Highway in the south, State 104 Highway in the west and Beijing-Hangzhou Canal in the north. In recent years, we have taken great steps to introduce new technology and craftsmanship to improve the procedures of purifying, deguming and degreasing. In 1996, we succeeded in the recycling program for waste silk and then in 1997, we finished the development on tussah cocoon, in which we overcame tussah cocoon's shortcomings in thickness, rigidity and difficulty in bleaching and expand the products made of tussah cocoon silk in Liaoning and Henan from tussah silk carpets to high grade knitted articles, garment fabrics and heat-keeping articles. In the same year, we achieved notable progress in a project on "New craftsmanship on rapid purification for silk textile materials" in cooperation with Zhejiang Silk Science Institute and the project passed the attestation carried out by some experts in June 1999. Years of improvement and investment have kept us at a higher level in terms of technology as compared with other companies in this field and our products are mostly known for their high technique contents. Furthermore, the installation of knitted garments manufacturing equipment will provide another source of development for the company in the future. The company holds more than 3500 employees and owns 600 or so sets of equipments for purifying, combing, spinning and knitting, including 20000 spindles for worsted spinning. The annual output reaches 500 tons of silk tops, 200 tons of silver, 1500 tons of greige silk yarns, tussah yarns, blended and dyed silk yarns, which amount a production value as much as RMB 200 million. We also turn out about 300,000 pieces of knitted garments every year. The "Yonghong Brand" products include silk yarn, tussah yarn, blended and dyed silk yarn, silk tops (silver), tussah silk tops. They all reach relative standards required by the industry and have a wide range of usage. Besides domestic markets, we now export our products to countries and regions like India, Italy, Japan and Hongkong.
